Haha it’s people like you who really annoy me … vince is right but u just didn’t undestand him like the rest of you idiots.. first of all yes when u lift you lose weight due to higher metabolism and some cardio while lifting but he’s talking about repetative and interugal cardio and weightlifting and trust me just keep lifting and you’ll be a fattass again
I have to agree. I had a 45 inch waist once. I started working out. The muscle increased my metabolism–I was doing cardio too of course–I lost weight and gained muscle. Now I have no belly. Muscle mass increases metabolism. That’s basic science. This guy is flat out wrong. I could find a million people like me who agree with me.
If its impossible to burn fat and gain muscle at the same time, then i got something wrong with me. And same goes with just about everyone i know that works out.

You can build muscle and lose fat at the same time. Do high intensity interval cardiotraining, along with weight training.
However, for pure ectomorphs its definitely harder to do.

Wtf? Just run 10 kilometers or more every week and work out with sit-ups, push-ups, hang-ups etc. Eat two eggs a day, drink milk or soy milk. Worked for me.

do you have a workout plan for someone who is trying to gain 60-100 pounds of muscle and lose 30-60 pounds of fat at the same time. Im trying to get between 255-295 lbs. with less than 10% body fat. PS, I take protein powder and creatine and am 23 years old.

THIS GUY IS WRONG, im not arguing for the sake of making myself sound like i know more than this guy, but i can tell you. It is very very easy to gain muscle and loose fat , in fact the more muscle you gain the more it increase your metabolism and allows you to burn fat, so do your research before you listen to this idiot.
You probably need to lose about 10-15 lbs of bodyfat. Bodyfat is volumous.10lbs of fat is bigger then a bowling ball. To lose 10 lbs of fat you need to slowly overtime cut 35,000 calories from your diet. 1 lb. of fat = 3500 cals. Do 1 hard HIIT cardio per week. Add some nice 30-60 minute walks a few times a week. Make slight calorie cuts here and there. Cut protein powder calories for sure, you don’t need that much of that or really that much protein in general. You’ll get continually leaner.
If you do a less intense cardio a few times a week,..OR intense HIIT cardio ONCE a week, that is more then enough. It will burn calories and make your body a more effficient fat burner. WALKING! Walking burns about 250-300 calories per hour, but will NOT break down muscle tissue because it’s not intense enough. Cut your calories SLIGHTLY. Don’t forget about beer calories,..they’ll make you fat too. You don’t need that much protein. Don’t consume too much protein powder; it’s just X-calories.
Flush, bodybuilders of ALL body types..Ectomorph or any other body type can lose fat and gain muscle. People are getting a little to wrapped up in the whole ecto/endomorph..whatever. You have bulked up because of your intense weight training over the last year. That is EXCELLENT! You have a great muscle base. When you lose the fat, and it’s not that hard to do, you’re going to look phenomenal. Cardio does NOT kill muscle mass. OVERDOING cardio over time will overtrain and break down muscle mass.
